When you are voting in the next few weeks in the local government election, know that who you vote for might not necessarily win. Preferences are a bigger deal than many people think and candidates get in based on preferences.
This is largely why incumbent candidates tend to stay in power for decades, making it impossible for new people to get in.
We ask that Stonnington South Ward residents consider their preferences in the upcoming election and ensure that they are diligent in putting the 1, 2, 3’s in the right order so that the people they vote for, get in.
When doing my How To Vote card, I didn’t side with anyone. What I was looking for was independent voices who are prepared to do what is right by their electorate and not what deals they have done behind the scenes.
Be assured, if you vote me in, I will work tirelessly to ensure that you are represented in the best possible way. I will not form alliances or clicks, and I will focus heavily on reducing rates, Chapel Street Precinct, small businesses, economic recovery, parks and gardens, and faster turnaround times.
Remember that the Stonnington Council is here to serve you, and that’s exactly what I aim to do.
